Barbara E. Comeau

Barbara E. Comeau, 80, of Manchester died December 8, 2004 at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Berkeley, CA on April 11, 1924, she was the daughter of James and Ferris Dufresne. She grew up in California and graduated from Oakland (CA) Tech High School. She lived in Mountain Home, ID, Germany, Maine and New York before moving to Manchester in 1969.

Before her marriage, she managed a moving company in California for several years. During the many years her husband served in the US Army Air Corps and the US Air Force, she organized charity events and fund drives with other military spouses.

Mrs. Comeau enjoyed reading and was a member of the Reader Service Book Club. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Diana Perry in 1955.

The family includes her husband of 49 years, Paul D. Comeau of Manchester; a sister, Janet Miller of Martinez, CA and nieces and nephews.

Encryptment of cremated remains was at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
