Barbara C. LeMay

She was born in Holyoke, MA on July 20, 1945 to Frank and Vera (Chmura) Kermenski. She grew up in Chicopee Falls, MA then lived in Little Creek, VA and York, ME before moving to Manchester in 1972.

Mrs. LeMay worked for Raytheon Corporation in Manchester and Andover, MA for many years.

She was a master quilter who donated handmade quilts for newborn infants at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She was a member of various quilter's guilds, the Red Hatters and was an avid gardener.

The family includes her husband of 44 years, Nelson P. LeMay of Manchester; two children, Michael J. LeMay of Waterloo, IA and Laura B. Tessier of Madison, AL; a granddaughter, Lauren LeMay; her mother, Vera (Chmura) Kermenski of Amherst, MA; a brother, Richard Kermenski and his wife, Ann, of West Yarmouth, MA; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester, NH. Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Aldenville, MA at the convenience of the family.

If sending flowers, it is requested that perennials be sent and they will be planted in Barbara's home garden.
