Barbara A. Plodzik

Barbara A. (Hardy) Plodzik, 78, of Manchester died January 22, 2017 at a local health care facility surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on November 18, 1938, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Reagan) Hardy. She was educated in the Manchester, NH school system and earned her nursing degree from Catherine Laboure Nursing School in Massachusetts. Later in life she studied learning disabilities at Notre Dame College in New Hampshire. She spent much time volunteering her time at St Catherines of Siena School, Catholic Medical Center, and The Camp Fire Girls Organization.
Barbara spent most of her life as a loving and dedicated homemaker. She was a kind, gentle woman who always saw the goodness in others. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her three beloved granddaughters. Barbara was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed watching films and musicals.
Family members include her loving husband of 52 years, Dr. Henry M. Plodzik of Manchester; her daughters, the late Dr. Beth Plodzik of Goffstown; Karyn Noterman, and her husband Kevin of Goffstown; and their children Hannah, Kayley, and Jordyn. She leaves a brother, Col. Charles R. Hardy and his wife Delma Jean of Tuscon. Also several nephews, Paul Dery of Manchester, Brendan Hardy of Gilford, and Dr. Eric Hardy of Tuscon. As well as several great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, David Hardy, of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, January 30, 2017 in St. Hedwig Church. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
