Barry D. Comer Sr, 85, of Manchester, died peacefully at home on May 25, 2020 after a long illness.
He was born on November 13, 1934 in Danvers, MA, the son of Charles E. and Gladys (Willet) Comer. He was educated in the Manchester School System and graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1952. After graduation, he served in the US Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956.
Prior to retirement, he had worked for Mack Trucks, Inc. from 1958 to 1969.
Barry married Patricia (Riley) Comer on August 31, 1955.
Along with his wife of Manchester, family members include their three children, Debra Ann (Comer) Adkins and husband Robert, Barry D. Comer Jr, Sandra Jean (Comer) Greenleaf and husband Michael; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings June Patnaude, Robert and Charles Comer.
Funeral services will be private and interment in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 210, Bedford, NH 03110.
