Beatrice L. Duplessis, 84, of Manchester, died November 18, 2001, at Villa Crest Health Care, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, June 26, 1917, she was the daughter of David and Dora (Cormier) Kemmeur. She was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Duplessis worked as a sales clerk at Mammoth Mills for several years. She also volunteered at the VA Hospital in Manchester.
She was a communicant of St. Therese Church, and a member of the Sodality of St. Anne. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary, St. Marie Post 1749. She was also a life member of the Alpine Club.
Her husband, Joseph Leon Duplessis, died in 1992.
Family members include 2 sons, Lucien J. Duplessis of Florida, and F. Vincent Duplessis of York, Me; a daughter, Elaine Vogt of Gig Harbor, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were November 20, 2001 at the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated November 21, 2001 in St. Therese Church. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery.
