Beatrice M. (Ornelas) Quintal, 98, of Manchester, died March 20, 2021 at her daughter's home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Madeira Island, Portugal on November 26, 1922 to Agostinho and Maria (Nobrega) Ornelas. She came to the U.S. from Portugal with her family in 1966.
Beatrice worked at All-Tex in Manchester for many years.
She enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Portugal, South America and South Africa. She also enjoyed gardening and reading Portuguese newspapers. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime communicant of St. Pius X Church in Manchester.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Jose D. Quintal in 2000; five siblings and a son-in-law, Robert Tobin in 2008.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela M. Dusaitis and her husband, George, and Lena M. Tobin all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Peter and Christian Dusaitis and Patrick and Meghan Tobin; two great grandchildren, Mason and Paige Dusaitis; a sister, Filomena Ornelas of Venezuela; nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Misty.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association for their excellent home care and support.
SERVICES: A walk-through visitation with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Thursday, March 25 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A cemetery committal service will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
