Beatrice E. Rousseau, 81, of Manchester, died July 31, 2002, at her residence, after a lengthy illness.
Born January 3, 1921 in Sanford, Me., she was the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Beauchesne) Dumais. She was raised in Sanford and resided there until moving to Manchester in 1956.
She had worked for Jagger Brothers Manufacturing in Sanford for several years.
She was a communicant of St. Therese Church and a member of the Ladies Guild of that parish.
She was a member of TOPS, Chapter 1, for 34 years. She was also a member of the KOPS Honor Society for 26 years. In addition she was a member of the VFW Post 8214 Auxiliary.
She was married to Joseph A. Rousseau, who died in 1995. In addition she was predeceased by three children, Denise Rousseau, Priscilla Bissonnette, and Gerard Rousseau.
Family members include a daughter, Marguerite DeStories of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Steven R. Rousseau of Port Orange, FL; 2 daughters in law, Nicole Rousseau of Port Orange, FL, and Claire Rousseau of Manchester; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, William Dumais of Birmingham, AL, and Lucien Dumais of Sanford, ME; nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday August 2, 2002 in St. Therese Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
