He was born in St. Marie de Beauce, Quebec, on April 22, 1920, the son of Edmond and Palmyre (Marcoux) Pouliot. When he was three years old, his family emigrated to the Manchester area and he was educated at St. Augustin grammar school and Manchester High School Central. During WWII, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Hawaii, with loading ships being among his primary duties.
Prior to retirement, he had spent his entire career working for Stebbins Construction. He had helped build many buildings around town and was well known for his expert use of cement.
He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America. He loved visiting Rockingham Race Track with his brothers and sisters and more recently had enjoyed bus trips to Connecticut casinos. He loved to walk around Manchester and could often be seen feeding the birds in Veterans Park. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Browns fan, who above all else loved spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday January 23, 2008 in St. Augustin Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St, Manchester.
