Bernadette Sampson

December 21, 1920 — April 13, 2009

Bernadette Sampson, 88, formerly of 311 Cilley Rd, died Monday morning at Bel-Air Nursing Home following a brief illness.

She was born in St. Cyrille de Wendover, PQ, the daughter of J. Donat and Odila (Chandonnet) Proulx and had resided in Manchester for most of her life.

Bernadette was educated in local schools graduating from St. Augustin grammar school and later attending Central High School.

She was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne, the Catholic War Veterans Louis Ramsey Post 1624 and was a member of St. Anthony Parish.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She enjoyed playing cards, darts and socializing with her friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Roland R. Sampson in 1979.

In her life: Mrs. Sampson's family would like to thank all her friends and staff at the Bel-Air Nursing Home.

Members of her family include two daughters, Colette M. Sampson of Manchester, and Pierrette S. Cassidy and her husband Kenneth of Goffstown; two grandchildren, Andrew Cassidy and Jocelyn Cassidy; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held in St. Anthony of Padua Parish on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Bel-Air Nursing Home Activity Fund, 29 Center St., Goffstown, NH 03045.
