Bernard R. Brisson, 84, of Hooksett, died December 13, 2016 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on January 18, 1932 to Marcel and Blanche (Goulet) Brisson. He was a graduate of Central High School and lived in Hooksett for many years.
He served and faught in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Bernard retired as a construction foreman with the New England Telephone Company where he had worked for many years.
He had an ability to make people laugh and was known as a "Mr. Fix-It". He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and cribbage, but most importantly, time spent with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Angela (Gregoire) Brisson in 2010 and by two siblings, Gerard Brisson and Carmelle Shorten.
The family includes three children, Sylvia and Lenny Kaspaszak and Ann and Fr. John Routos all of Manchester and Lisa and Les Riley of Candia; six grandchildren, Michael, Rebekah, Maria, Martha, Shane and Constantine; a great grandchild, Fayth; two sisters, Charlotte Bailey of Scottsdale, AZ and Daniel Brisson of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
