Bernard F. Devine

He was born in Boston, MA on August 5, 1926, the son of Bernard F. and Helen (O'Donnell) Devine, Sr. He graduated from South Boston High School.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Gillette Corp for 42 years.

Bernard was a past regional director of ALHAMBRA and also a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He had volunteered many years at the Elliot Hospital and was a longtime communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn.

He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family.

His family would like to thank the staff at Hanover Hill Health Care Center for the wonderful care they gave Bernie during his stay.

He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude (Saur) Devine in 2000, his daughter Lynne Bagnall, two sisters Ellen Denmon and Jeanne Godbout and a daughter-in-law Janice Devine.

Members of his family include his daughters Lori Pelletier and her husband Richard of Auburn, Robin Wilson and her husband Mark of Auburn; his sons, Barry Devine of Canton, MA, Brian Devine and his wife Christeen of Derry; his son-in-law Rick Bagnall of Franklin; his grandchildren, Amanda Bagnall, Daniel Pelletier, Heather Pelletier, April Ashby and her husband Brian, Tyler Wilson, Jamie Devine and wife Laurie, Michele Devine, Eric Devine and wife Kelley, and Sarah Devine; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Cameron, Sophia, and Lylah; his brother, Richard Faurot of MA; his sisters, Mary Boczkowski of MA, Margaret Devaney of Colorado, Roberta Sleighter of Arizona; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in St. Peter Church, Auburn.
