Bernard K. Fisk, 85, of Manchester died December 7, 2016 at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Waterbury, VT on February 9, 1931 to Ernest and Mary (McKenna) Fisk. He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School class of 1949. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS-Essex-CV9, during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1953. Bernie worked for the US Post Office in Manchester as a mail carrier for 25 years, retiring in 1992.
Bernie was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Quirk Fisk, in 2011.
Family includes one daughter, Mary Roy of FL; four sons, Timothy Fisk of Manchester and wife Belinda Fisk of TN, Richard Fisk and wife Joyce of Manchester, Patrick Fisk and wife Laura of Manchester, and Paul Fisk and wife Rebecca of AL; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also predeceased by one son, Bernard Fisk, Jr.; two sisters, Catherine Bertogli, and Theresa Keene; and two brothers, Ernest and John Fisk.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
