BJ Perry was the proud owner of KRL /Bantry Components, a high tech resistor company located in the south end of Manchester. A graduate of Boston College, Case Western of Ohio, and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. BJ joined his family business in 1986 and purchased KRL from his father in 1992. BJ's philosophy was no one worked for him, but, rather with him. His compassion for his employees and community was why he was selected New Hampshire Man of the Year by the New Hampshire Union Leader in 1994.
Despite health complications, BJ Perry rose to the occasion to serve his city and state. In 1992, Governor Steve Merrill appointed him to the State Workman's Compensation Advisory Board. He served his city as a member of the Airport Authority and the city's Crimeline board in the 1990s. In 2001, he served 4 years representing the residents of ward 12 on the Manchester School Board. BJ brought a business approach to the board and after 4 years on the school board he left knowing he worked across the aisle to return millions of dollars to the taxpayers and increasing the textbook budget by almost a half a million dollars.
BJ spent his years after public service back in the private sector and continued his hobby of technological advancement and computer exploration when not enjoying quiet time with his beloved dogs.
BJ is preceased by his parents Bernard J Perry Sr. and Mary - Frances (Foley) Perry, and his sister Mary Frances (Perry) Bloom, formerly of Sarasota Florida.
