Bertha M. (Hall) Bourque, 82, of Manchester died August 4, 2010 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Derry on September 30, 1927 to Raymond C. and Marie (Lessard) Hall Sr.. She grew up in Londonderry and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy. She lived in Manchester most of her life.

Mrs. Bourque worked as a legal and medical secretary for many years. She was a gifted seamstress and taught sewing and tailoring at the Institute of Arts and Sciences in Manchester for many years.

She was a member of the American-Canadian Genealogical Society in Manchester.

IN HER LIFE: The family includes her husband of 63 years, Edward E. Bourque Sr. of Manchester; four children, Edward E. Bourque Jr. and his wife, Bette, of Hooksett, Paula Denis and her husband, Francis, of Manchester, Andrew Bourque of Hooksett , and Matthew Bourque and his wife, Karen, of Goffstown; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Hall of Sandown; four sisters, Paulina Backman of Londonderry, Pauline Butterfield of Loudon, Barbara Therriault of Seabrook and Marion Pratt of Londonderry; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 9, 2010 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
