Bertha F. Carrier

Bertha F. (Guilbert) Carrier, 100, of Goffstown, died March 11, 2016 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on March 12, 1915 to Elphege and Flora (Tessier) Guilbert. She lived in Manchester for most of her life.
Bertha worked at Sears in Manchester for many years and was a former communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral. She enjoyed traveling and needlework and will be remembered for her curious nature and sense of humor.
She was predeceased by three grandchildren, Lisa, Joey and Julie Chandonnet and two siblings, Janet Allen and Roland Guilbert.
The family includes a daughter, Judy Chandonnet of Manchester; a granddaughter, Susan Ameen and her husband, Edward, of Goffstown; two great grandchildren, Audrey and Jonathan Ameen; a sister, Irene Gorey of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, especially units A1 and C4, for the loving care they provided to Bertha.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell streets, Manchester. Private burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Goffstown at the convenience of the family.
