Bertha M. Lessard

Bertha M. Lessard, 87, of Manchester, died October 29, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, September 24, 1916, she was the daughter of Evangeliste and Elizabeth (Daigle) Pare. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Lessard worked for Foster Grant and later worked many years for Jewell Electronics.

She was a former member of the Cival Air Patrol.

She and her husband traveled extensively after their retirements.

She had been a member of St. George Church.

Family members include her husband of 68 years, Alfred J. Lessard of Manchester; three sons, Alfred Lessard Jr. of Manchester, Victor Lessard of Weare, NH, and Richard W. Lessard of Hooksett; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Rita Espinoza of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Saturday November 1, 2003 in the funeral home. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
