Berthe Lavoie

Berthe Lavoie, 101, beloved wife of the late Gilbert Lavoie, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester. She was born on September 18, 1924 in Saint-Anges, Quebec, Canada to the late Delphis and Yvonne (Gregoire) Picard.

Berthe moved to Manchester in 1967 and has been a resident since. She is a parishioner at Ste. Marie Parish and was a member of the daughters of Isabella. Berthe worked at a boy’s summer camp in Canada as a cook for 20 years, at JF, Preview Products and at St. George’s Rectory for many years as a cook.

In addition to her husband of 38 years and her parents, Berthe is predeceased by her two sons: Andre and Rene Lavoie; her sister: Yvette; and her five brothers: Marcel, Gaston, Paul, Yves and Bernard.

Berthe is survived by her daughter: Suzanne Soucy and her husband Jean Yves of Goffstown; daughter-in-laws: Andrée Lavoie and Donna Mailhot, both of Manchester; six grandchildren: Eric, Isabelle, Nathalie, Sabrina, Jesse, Jennifer; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Ste. Marie Parish, 378 Notre Dame Ave in Manchester at 10am. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
