Born in Manchester on January 19, 1920, he was the son of Francis and Josephine (Biron) Comeau. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Silver Star and the Bronze Star.
Mr. Comeau worked at Velcro USA in Manchester for 33 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rita M. (Bordeleau) Comeau in 1986 and by a son, Robert B. Comeau in 2001.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes two daughters, Denise M. Mailhot and her husband, Daniel of Manchester, and Gloria C. Fluet and her husband, Michael of Candia; four grandchildren, Scott Mailhot, Stacy Martin, Kaitlin Gentile and Rebeka Fluet; seven great grandchildren, Ema, Abigail, Zoe, Madeleine, Clara, Jonathan and McKenzie; a sister, Lillian Bresnahan of Manchester and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by his longtime companion, Lorraine Chames earlier this year.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Graveside committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester
