Bertrand G. Pichette

Bertrand G. Pichette, 85, of Manchester, died peacefully on October 8, 2007, surrounded by his loving family, in the home that he was raised in, following a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on June 14, 1922, and was the son Adjutor and Eva (Boisvert) Pichette. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Marie Parish.

Bert attended local schools, and later served in the United States Army as a staff sergeant during World War II, seeing action in the South Pacific.

For many years Bert was the owner and operator of Pichette Brothers Inc. along with his brother Armand(Joe) Pichette.

Bert will be remembered as a loving and kind man with a great sense of humor. He loved the construction business, heavy equipment, and trucks.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his wife of 58 years Irene (Roy) Pichette, of Manchester; 6 children, Celeste and Dennis Bentley, of Barrington, Philip Pichette, and his fiancee, Lori Ann St. Jacques, of Bedford, Daniel and Susan Pichette, of Manchester, Therese and Paul Mackin, of Durham, Leo and Barbara Pichette, of Manchester, Richard, and his fiancee, Tammy Williams, of Hooksett; 18 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and numerous wonderful and caring friends.

He was predeceased by a son David in 1953. Bert was the last surviving member among his eight siblings, Valerien, Lucien, Paul, Emile, Vivien, Armand, and Louise.

SERVICES:

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday October 13, 2007 in St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Manchester.

Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
