Bertrand L. Therrien, 77, of Manchester, died September 12, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Born in Rochester, NH, April 2, 1926, he was the son of Edouard and Marie L. (Laflamme) Therrien. He had been a Manchester resident since 1952.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Therrien worked as a supervisor in the meat department at Champagne's Market for many years and later for Bunny's Superette as well as other local markets.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and a member the Catholic War Veterans of St. Marie parish.
He was married to Rollande (Lacasse) Therrien, who died in 1993.
Family members include a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Marie-Louise) Grenier of Manchester; 2 grandsons, Mark Grenier of Manchester, and Kenneth Grenier of Brick, NJ; 3 great grandchildren, Tylor, Aron, and Samuel Grenier; a brother, Rene Therrien of Florida; 2 sisters, Rita Roy, and Priscilla Watson, both of Rochester, NH; a very close friend, Claire Gamache of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian was celebrated Tuesday September 16, 2003 in St. Patrick Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
