Bertrand L. Turcotte

Bertrand L. Turcotte, 92, of Manchester passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on September 8, 2016.
Mr. Turcotte was born in Manchester, NH on December 17, 1923 to Leonard and Yvonne (Dupont) Turcotte and was a lifelong resident of the city.
He worked many years as a Master Machinist for Bee Bee Shoe & Preview Products.
Bertrand enjoyed many hobbies and outside interests, including kayaking, tinkering, and inventing odd devices. He also enjoyed making plastic and yarn coasters, which he taught to the staff and residence at Mt. Carmel. This became known as "Bert's Disco Toss", which was a favorite to all residents.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Mt. Carmel for the care and compassion they had shown to their father.
Family members include one Daughter, Susan G. (Turcotte) St. Cyr, of Manchester; four sons, George Turcotte and his wife Lisa of Weare, NH, Donald Turcotte and his wife Nancy, Robert Turcotte, Richard and his wife Nancy Turcotte, all of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lionel Turcotte of Goffstown, NH. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, the love of his life, Rita (Corriveau) Turcotte; three brothers, Roger Turcotte, Maurice Turcotte and Paul Turcotte; and two sisters, Regina Russell, and Corrine Karsmarski.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in the Chapel at Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 235 Myrtle St. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, S. Beech St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to: Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, 1 E. Wacker Dr., Chicago, IL. 60601-1905. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
