Betty Ann (Comeau) Nichols, 77, of Manchester, past away peacefully on May 20, 2023, at her residence after a long illness.
Born in Plymouth, NH on August 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. and Dorothy May (Hinkson) Comeau. She attended Plymouth Regional High School and worked many jobs throughout her career, lastly with Airmar Technology Corp.
Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and history. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband Scott and Milford and Co. Betty loved all animals and was especially fond of her own dogs. She began each morning sharing her cup of coffee with her dog Khloe. She was strong-willed and feisty, always standing her ground for what she thought was right. She was a true fighter and a survivor, overcoming numerous obstacles and hardships with an unwavering steadfastness. She was always full of energy and loved spending time with those she loved. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy for generations to come.
Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of 14 years, Scott E. Nichols in 2007.
Family members include her son, Mark S. Gooden of Milford; five grandchildren, Melanie A. Banks and fiancé Pete of Manchester, Stephen J. Gooden of Milford, Michael J. Gooden of Manchester, Sarah A. Ferreira and husband Jason of Hudson, and Perry J. Fortin of Concord; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; four siblings, Chester Comeau, Wayne Comeau, Carol Ann Lopez and Richard “Dick” Comeau; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by both parents; and one brother Roger Comeau.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will take place at 10am on May 27th at Shiloh Community Church, 55 Edmond St., Manchester, NH 03102 with a luncheon to follow. Burial will take place at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen NH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester, NH 03102.
