Betty (Cassmassi) Booth, 96, of Manchester, died December 10, 2018 at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Bronx, NY on May 8, 1922 to Michael and Catherine (Sforza) Cassmassi. She grew up in the Bronx and later moved to Manchester where she lived for many years. She had wintered in Indiantown, FL during her retirement years.
Betty was the cafeteria manager at Parker Varney School in Manchester for many years. During World War II she was a civil servant with the U.S. Navy in Bayonne, NJ and Norfolk, VA
In her earlier years, she enjoyed visiting her sisters in San Diego, CA. She also enjoyed cooking, playing golf at Intervale Country Club and Indianwood Country in Florida, aerobic dancing, exercising at the YMCA and time spent with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Donald J. Booth in 2012 and by four siblings, Martin Cassmassi, Joseph Cassmassi, Ann Boccia and Diane Knight.
The family includes three children, Diane K, Beaudry and husband, Andre, of Manchester, Patricia L. Booth and husband, Ralph Stalter, Jr., of Las Vegas, NV and Gary D. Booth and wife, Diana, of Casper, WY; four grandchildren, Jefferson Beaudry and wife, Sara, Allison Seney and husband, Bill, McGregor Booth and Cody Booth; three great grandchildren, Brit Beaudry, Alton Seney and Eric Beaudry; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Raphael Church, Walker Street, Manchester. Private interment is at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
