Betty L. Lafond

Betty L. Lafond, 80, passed away July 11th, 2023 at The Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 7th, 1942, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of the late Floyd Charles Durivage and Yvonne Durivage.

Betty spent many years working as a CNA at the Genesis Healthcare Facility in Bedford, NH. She also had a soft spot for children and would often babysit the neighborhood kids. Her love and dedication to her family and friends were influential. She will be remembered, by many, for her strength and courage as well as her ability to make anyone laugh. 

Betty thoroughly enjoyed attending bingo, family dinners and a good game of Skip-bo.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Maurice Lafond; sisters Nancy, Shirley, Peggy, Judy; and brother Billy. 

She is survived by her beloved son, Scott Lafond and his wife Angela Lafond, of Manchester. Her brother Eddie Durivage; granddaughter Amber Lafond; her grandsons, Hank Pineault and his wife Heather Pineault, Deven Lafond and Christian Benedict; great-grandson, Clyde; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held for close family members at a later time.
