Beverly P. Smith

Born on February 25, 1916 in Maplewood, NJ, he was the son of Wilbur and Eva (Donahue) Smith. He was educated in the Amherst school system and was a graduate of Dartmouth College in 1938.

He met his beloved wife, Ursula in Germany after WW II and they were married for over 58 years. She died in February of this year.

Mr. Smith worked as a manager for Ina-Cigna Insurance Company many years. He also served three terms as a state representative for the town of Amherst.

He enjoyed playing bridge and skiing, which he did until the age of 78.

The family includes a daughter, Helena Garbarini of Westhampton, NY; two sons, Sterling P. Smith of Woodside, CA and John Fiske Smith of Mill Valley CA; two grandchildren; cousins and nieces.
