Bibiane B. Spenard

Bibiane B. (Robitaille) Spenard, 87, of Manchester died January 13, 2007 at Elliot Hospital after a courageously fought brief illness.

Born in Manchester on December 2, 1919, she was the daughter of Albert and Emilie (Moreau) Robitaille. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester and was a graduate of West High School and Hillsborough County School of Nursing.

Mrs. Spenard worked as a private duty registered nurse and later as an RN at the Elliot Hospital and the Gale Home both in Manchester for many years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.

She was married to Fernand J. Spenard who died in 2004.

The family includes four daughters, Emilie L. Kaplan of Manchester, Marie S. Heath and Anita L. Nelson both of Hooksett and Judith S. Samardelis of Auburn; two sisters, Claire Brown of New Jersey and Anita M. Robitaille of Manchester and nieces and nephews.

IN HER LIFE: The family also include six grandchildren, Aaron C. Heath, Amy C. Iqball, Jaimie P. Dupuis, Arielle F. Kaplan, Zach S.P. Kaplan and Jillian M. Samardelis; three great grandchildren, Aaliyah M. Iqball, Jaxen P. Dupuis and Ethan S. Dupuis.

Mrs. Spenard was devoted to her family. She was an accomplished seamstress who knitted clothes for her family and for the needy.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday January 17, 2007 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 27 Lowell St., Manchester 03101.
