Brian C. Stone, 51, of Manchester, went home to his Lord and Savior after a sudden heart attack on March 11, 2018.
He was born in Manchester on October 25, 1966 to Stanley and Celia (Letendre) Stone. He graduated from Central High School in 1984 and New England College in 1988. He lived his life in Auburn and Manchester.
Brian worked at API of New Hampshire for many years. He was an outstanding hockey player and coach. He is the 2nd all-time points leader and top assists leader for the New England College hockey team and was team captain his junior and senior years. He later coached high school hockey in Manchester at Memorial High School, Central High School where he was head coach of the 2014 State Champion Little Green and currently at Trinity High School.
He was inducted into the New England College Hall of Fame, Queen City Hall of Fame and New Hampshire Legends Hockey Hall of Fame. He was also named coach of the year in 2013-14 by the NH High School Hockey Coaches Association.
He was a member of the Manchester Christian Church and a passionate member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The family includes his wife of 20 years, Kimberley (Morey) Stone of Manchester; his daughter, Hannah C. Stone of Manchester; his mother and father, both of Manchester; three siblings, Stephen Stone and his wife, Angela, of Auburn and Eric Stone and Laurie Stoddard and her husband, Peter, all of Manchester; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service was held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Manchester Christian Church, 56 Old Bedford Rd., Bedford.
