C. Joan (Reeves) Harmon, 87, of Manchester, NH died March 21, 2016 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a brief illness.
She was born in Lowell, MA on October 1, 1928 to Oliver and Lillian (Hosmer) Reeves. She grew up in Westford, MA and graduated from Westford Academy in 1946. She then lived in Chelmsford, MA for many years before moving to New Hampshire in 1986. She had also wintered in Stuart, Fl for many years.
Joan worked at the Chelmsford Welfare Department for several years. She enjoyed reading, swimming, painting and photography. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family at Cow Island on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert L. Harmon Sr. in 2003 and by three sisters.
The family includes three children, Robert L. Harmon Jr. and his wife, Patti, of Concord, NH, Ginny Oudekerk of Manchester, NH and Tim Harmon and his wife, Tina, of Hooksett, NH; five grandchildren, Jason Barry and his wife, Leslie, Jeff Barry and his wife, Janel, Alana Oudekerk-Hanss and her husband, David, Joshua Harmon and Jacob Harmon; six great grandchildren; a sister, Mary McGillivray and her husband, Kenny, of Georgia; and nieces and nephews.
