He was born in Manchester on February 27, 1925 the son of Wilfrid and Corrine (Durand) Breton. Except for 4 years in Maine, Camil was a lifelong resident of Manchester. He was a graduate of Central High School in 1941 and attended St. Anselm College, the University of Maine and received his bachelor degree in business from the University of New Hampshire in 1977. A U.S. Navy veteran, Cam proudly served in the US Navy seeing action in both WWII and Korea.
After his discharge from the military Camil was employed 46 years by the federal government, retiring as District Office Manager of the Social Security Administration of Manchester.
In his life, Camil volunteered as an usher at the Palace Theater and his parish church. His family was his pride and his joy, especially his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Edwina E. (Venne) Breton in 2006.
Family members include his daughter Joanne P. Jeannette and husband David of Manchester; his son Ronald A. Breton of Manchester; four grandchildren, Matthew Goldberg of Barrington, Sarah Stavropoulos and husband Nick of Bedford, Beau and Corinne Breton of Manchester; four great grandchildren, Miles and Louis Goldberg of Barrington and Olivia and Anna Stavropoulos of Manchester and dear friend Polly Veros. He was also predeceased by his sister Denise Bilodeau.
Committal prayers were held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Urn burial followed in the family lot. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104.
