Carlisle B. Mason, 85, of Hooksett, died September 1, 2023 at Bel-Air Nursing Home in Goffstown after a period of declining health.
He was born in Lawrence, MA on June 19, 1938 to Carlisle and Marie (Scalera) Mason. He lived in Hooksett for many years.
Carlisle owned and operated Mason Construction Company for years. He was very skilled at many trades and could fix anything. He made his own parts and also did equipment repair. When he had free time, he enjoyed hours in his garage and boating with family.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Michael Mason.
Carlisle is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judith (Forsberg) (Gagnon) Mason of Hooksett; six children, Richard Mason of Londonderry, Tami Mason Kirlis and her husband, Nicholas, of Maynard, MA, Elizabeth Buxton of Manchester, Cheryl Mason Pratt and her husband, Benjamin, of Leominster, MA, Gregory Gagnon and his wife, Denise, of Sanbornton and Andrew Gagnon and his wife, Julie, of Germantown, WI; eight grandchildren, Christina Mason, Joshua Buxton and his wife, Caroline, Cynthia Gagnon, Megan Gagnon, Gretchen Gagnon, Luke Gagnon, Amelia Pratt and Dylan Pratt; a great granddaughter, Avery Ella Buxton; a sister, Ruth Ann DesCamps of New Jersey; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday (9/8) from 10 a.m. to noon, followed immediately at noon by a funeral ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Burial will follow at Atkinson Cemetery, 118 Main St., in Atkinson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hooksett Food Pantry or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
