Carol B. Crete, 90, previously from Auburn, NH, died November 8, 2023 at the Elliot Hospital with her family by her side after a brief illness.
She was born In Grasmere, NH on January 10, 1933, to William C. Hooper and Rhoda F (Barr) Hooper and grew up in New Boston graduating from New Boston High School.
Prior to her retirement, Carol held a position as a clerk for the US Postal Service in Auburn, NH.
In her spare time Carol enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered by many.
She was a member of Adah Chapter Eastern Star, a member of the Auburn Historical Association and a long time member of St Peter’s Church in Auburn.
Carol is predeceased by her parents; a son, Rodney L. Crete; Sisters, Mary Fannion, Roberta Hebert, Catherine Hooper-Moore and a brother William Hooper.
She is survived by her children Donald and his wife Kimberly of Auburn, Roger and his wife Celine of Manchester, David and his wife Kathie of Hooksett, Nancy and her husband Matthew Warila of Shirley, MA and daughter-in-law Judy Crete of Goffstown; her sister Ellen Murray of FL; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be held November 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn, followed by a committal service at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to the Auburn Historical Association, P.O. Box 6, 102 Hooksett Rd, Auburn, NH.
