Carol L. (Babcock) Ferrari, 75, of Amherst, NH, died January 7, 2022 at Hackett Hill Center, Manchester, NH, after a brief illness.
She was born in Teaneck, NJ on February 4, 1946 to Joseph and Annette (Buglione) Babcock. She lived in Virginia, in Manassas and then in Gainesville, for 44 years before moving part-time to Amherst, NH several years ago.
She earned an associate's degree from Bergen Community College, a bachelor's degree from William Patterson University and an MBA from Regis University, and was a member of several honor societies during the course of her education.
Most recently prior to her retirement, Carol worked for many years with America Online (AOL), where she served as a senior system program manager. Prior to her time at AOL, she was a certified teacher and taught for several years in the public school systems of Manassas and Manassas Park, VA.
She was an avid skier and proud member of the Ramapo Mountain Ski Club in New Jersey, where she helped build its Lodge at Mad River Glen, VT. Later in life, and with her husband, Joseph, Carol volunteered with the Ski Patrol for then Ski Cherokee in Linden, VA. She was also a talented artist, in the mediums of oil painting and photography.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Joseph Babcock of New York City, NY.
Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph J. Ferrari of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Christina A. Ferrari and her husband, Timothy M. Yarnall, of Amherst, NH; a grandson, Rex E. Yarnall of Amherst, NH; a sister-in-law, Patricia Eastman and her husband, Edward Eastman, of Colts Neck, NJ and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time, however, a small gathering for family and friends in memory of Carol will be planned for the future. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
