With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Carol P. Labbe, who left this world on February 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol was a beacon of love and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her.
For 26 years, Carol devoted herself to nurturing young minds as a beloved teacher at Cozy Kids Daycare. Her warmth, patience, and dedication left an enduring impact on both her students and their families. She had an innate ability to make every child feel seen and valued, fostering a love for learning that would stay with them for years to come.
After retiring, Carol embraced life’s simple joys alongside her beloved husband, Roger, with whom she shared 59 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they found happiness in tending their flower gardens, where Carol’s green thumb transformed their home into a sanctuary of color and life. She delighted in trips to Maine to visit family and relished quiet moments spent sharing coffee and donuts at Dunkin’s with Roger by her side. Family vacations in the White Mountains were among her most treasured memories—she never tired of the breathtaking views or the friendly competition of a lively dice game. Her playful spirit shone through in these moments; she loved winning, but carried her victories with grace and humility.
Family was the heart of Carol’s world. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, showering them with love, wisdom, and laughter. Her family dinners were legendary—filled with warmth, delicious food, and stories that would be told for generations. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome; she had a rare gift for making people feel at ease, ensuring no one ever left her table hungry or without a smile.
Carol’s legacy is one of resilience and selflessness. She faced life’s challenges with unwavering strength and met her illness with the same grace that defined her every day. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she touched—her presence forever woven into their cherished memories.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Roger; her children, Tammy LaBarre and her husband Mark and David Labbe and his wife Jessica; her grandchildren, Kailey and Corey Crisp; and her great-grandchildren Lincoln and Mathias Crisp—with another little one on the way, Andi Crisp. She also leaves behind her mother, Roberta Andrews; siblings, Beatrice Andrews, Patricia Guertin and her husband Carroll, John Andrews, Tom Andrews and Steve Andrews and his wife Cindy; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Andrews; and brother, Charles Andrews Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm Street in Manchester from 10am to 12pm. A private graveside will be held at a later date in Maine.
