Carole F. Byatt

 Carole F. (Klus) Byatt, 83, formerly of Amherst, died on January 29, 2025 at Bowman Place in Bedford after a period of declining health.

 She was born in London, England on October 7, 1941 to William and Violet (Martlew) Klus. At the age of 19 she married Frank A. Byatt and they moved from England to Australia where they lived for several years. They also lived in Florida and Massachusetts before moving to Amherst in 1981. 

 For over 30 years Carole was a highly accomplished real estate professional who managed the Bedford and Amherst offices of Coldwell Banker (formerly DeWolfe). She mentored many realtors and earned several sales awards. She was an excellent cook who loved to gather family, friends and friends who were like family around her table for roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. She traveled extensively, practiced yoga and spent countless hours tending to her flower garden. She was a devoted friend, wife, mother and grandmother.

 She was predeceased by Frank, her husband of 43 years, in 2004 and by her daughter, Jennifer Byatt in 2017.

 Carole is survived by two sons, John P. Byatt and his wife, Lisa, of Amherst and Stephen J. Byatt of Hopkinton, MA; grandsons Ian Byatt and Benjamin Byatt; a brother, Paul Klus and his wife, Elaine; a niece and nephew, David Klus and Helen Klus; and cousins.

 SERVICES: A memorial service will take place on February 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Congregational Church of Amherst, 11 Church St., Amherst, NH.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Families in Transition (www.fitnh.org).

 Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
