Caryl Lindberg Cotton, 89, of Manchester, NH died March 16, 2005 at Courville of Manchester after a long illness.
Born in Chicago, IL on March 15, 1916, she was the daughter of Edward A. and Vernia (Cebell) Lindberg. She grew up in Green Bay, WI and graduated from East High School. She was a resident of New Hampshire for over 45 years.
She attended Stevens College in Missouri and the Art Institute of Chicago. She was a talented dancer, pianist and artist.
The family includes a daughter, Linda C. Wells of Greer, SC; a daughter in law, Beverly C. Cotton of Weare, NH; six grandchildren, Jenny Self of Duncan, SC, Chris Fischer of Morristown, TN, Andrew Fischer of Charleston, SC, Matthew Fischer of Lexington, KY, Caitlyn Cotton of Weare, NH and Cameron Cotton of Weare, NH; eight great grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy and Adam Self all of Duncan SC, Alex and Hannah Fischer of Morristown, TN, Reese, Riley and Ellison Fischer all of Charleston, SC; a cousin, John Lindberg of Appleton, WI and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Hershey Cotton; a beloved son, Christopher E. Cotton; a sister, Betty Lindberg Gragg and a grandson, Adam James Widney Wells.
A private memorial service was held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Chris Cotton Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 929, Henniker, NH 03242.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH assisted the family with arrangements.
