Casey N. Lavoie

March 20, 1980 — September 26, 2023

Goffstown, NH

Casey N. (Lownie) Lavoie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a vigilant fight with a rare cancer.

Born on March 20, 1980 in Nashua to Robert Kenneth Lownie of Hooksett and Catherine Nadeau of Merrimack, Casey graduated from Merrimack High School in 1998 and went on to study Business and Communications at Plymouth State College and University of New Hampshire Manchester.

Early in her career, Casey began as a customer service representative at Industrial Solutions.  At 24 years old, in 2004, she became mom to Makayla Lynn Strickulis and she knew she had begun the greatest job she would ever have.  Casey loved her family endlessly and she and Makayla had a mother daughter bond that was an inspiration to many.

Casey went on to work in the non-profit world at Granite State Independent Living in 2015 where she found a passion for the mission of bringing independence to life and worked there as a project manager.

In 2012, Casey found her “happily ever after” when she met Eric Lavoie and they blended their two beautiful families together. Eleven years later, their life continues to be a love story that Casey and Eric share proudly every day.

Casey's favorite moments were always on a field watching one of the three girls competing in doing what they love most, whether it be field hockey, softball, gymnastics, soccer or lacrosse.  She would be at every game and on every sideline before any place else.  She taught her daughters that they will not be prepared for half of what they will go through in this life but that they have gotten through everything they have faced so far and they always will.

Casey made every home holiday magical and made sure all three girls knew how loved they were each and every day.  Her heart was all for her family, friends, and giving back to those in the community.  Casey never met a friend that did not immediately fall in love with her, her love of life, family and animals.  Her cousins were like sisters to her and their yearly cousin trips meant everything to her.

Casey is survived by her stoic, steadfast, rock of the family, husband and best friend, Eric Lavoie of Goffstown; her magnificent daughter and forever partner in crime, Makayla Strickulis and her incredible bonus daughters, Avery and Sydney Lavoie, that she was so blessed to call her own in this life, all of Goffstown; her dad, Robert K. Lownie and wife Carol Lownie of Hooksett; her mother, Catherine Nadeau and husband Richard of Merrimack; her brother, Rob K. Lownie III and niece, Alexandr Lownie of Pelham; her brother, Scott Michael Lownie of Dorchester, MA; and too many to count cousins, aunts, lifelong friends, and friends that became family.

A private Service of Remembrance will take place at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110, or at www.donate.cancer.org

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
