Cecile Marie (Groleau) Carignan, 85, of Manchester, died July 12, 2005 at a local nursing home following a brief illness.
She was born on April 14, 1920 in Manchester N.H., the daughter of Henri and Clara (Langevin )Groleau. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Carignan.
She was a life long resident of Manchester N.H. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the V.A. Medical Center. She was a member of Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.
Members of her family include three sons, Edouard Carignan of Antrim N.H., Eugene Carignan of New Boston N.H., and Arthur Carignan of Kissimmee FL; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Herve Groleau of Manchester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Anthony Church on Saturday July 16, 2005 with urn burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester N.H. 03104.
