Cecile G. Gosselin

Cecile G. Gosselin, 68, of Manchester and Laconia, NH, died April 20, 2009 while vacationing.

She was born in Manchester on September 30, 1940, the daughter of Edouard and Flore D. Gendron. She was educated in the local parochial schools and was a graduate of St. Marie High School.

For many years, Cecile was the parish organist at the former St. John the Baptist Church in Manchester.

She and her husband were very devoted to their Catholic faith and were parishioners of three parishes, St. Helena Church in Weirs, Sts. Peter & Paul Cathedral in St. Thomas V.I., and Parish of the Transfiguration in Manchester.

Cecile was a woman who always lived life to the fullest and was a gifted musician and artist. She enjoyed traveling and above all else, loved being with her family.

Her husband Roland P. Gosselin died in 2006.

Family members include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Paul R. and Stephanie Gosselin of Windham, NH, Peter J. and Katharine Gosselin of Mansfield, MA; three grandchildren, Matthew, Renee and Jake Gosselin; two brothers, Paul Gendron of Manchester and Leo Gendron of Florida; one sister, Claudette Croteau of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother Gerard Gendron.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, May 1, 2009 in Parish of the Transfiguration with the Retired Rev. George Desjardins officiating. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
