Sr. Cecile Lauziere (Sr. Jean Lucien), 86, of the Sisters of Presentation of Mary, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester died April 3, 2002 at St. Joseph Residence, Manchester.
Born in Berlin on October 26, 1915, she was the daughter of Onil and Albina (Marcotte) Lauziere. She entered the Order of the Presentation of Mary Sisters in 1933, made her first profession in 1935 and made her final profession in 1940.
She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Rivier College, Nashua. She then taught at parochial elementary schools in New Hampshire at Berlin, Dover, Cascade, Hudson and Manchester; and in Rhode Island at Woonsocket and Coventry. She also ministered in Castelgandolfo, Italy for two years.
Sr. Lauziere was a nurse's aide at St. Marie Residence before retiring to St. Joseph Residence, both in Manchester.
The family includes a sister, Alice Turgeon of Gorham; two brothers, Lucien Lauziere of St. Petersburg, FL and Normand Lauziere of Berlin; several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday April 6, 2002 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson.
