She was born December 4, 1931 in Manchester, the daughter of Gedeon and Rhea (Dusseault) Morency. She graduated from St. Anthony's School and furthered her education in bookkeeping and accounting.
Cecile worked for many years as the secretary for Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Parish, before her retirement. She had also worked as a payroll clerk at Pandora. Cecile served as officer (president, vice president, treasurer and secretary) for both Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Ladies Guild and New Hampshire Council of Women and Guild. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of St. Anne's Society, at St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed gardening with her husband Daniel, bowling, puzzles, crocheting, needlepoint, sewing and geneology.
Family members include her loving husband Daniel Nieman of Manchester; two daughters, Patricia Nesbitt and husband Dennis of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Priscilla Picard and husband David of New Hampton; one son, Mark Nieman of Weare, NH; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan and husband Scott of WI, George Kalioras of WI, Sarah Nieman of Weare, Kimberly Nesbitt of SC and Keith Nieman of Weare; two sisters, Mrs. Rita Morrissette and Mrs. Jeanne Monty and her husband Robert all of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents; two brothers, Adrien and Roland Morency; and sister, Mrs. Gilberte Lover.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH 03103, followed by encryptment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hampshire Catholic Charities, PO Box 686, Manchester, NH, 03105-0686
