Cecilia Pauline Chalmers, 84, of Simpsonville, SC, formerly of Bedford and Goffstown, NH died July 12, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Born in Manchester, NH on December 9, 1936, she was the daughter of John Louis and Marie Louise (Gagne) Ackley. She was educated in the Manchester school system.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as an administrative clerk for GMAC for many years. After retirement, she worked as a representative for St. Joseph Community Services.
Cecilia was very active with Parents without Partners, Meals on Wheels and working in the Food Pantry at her church, she was a member of the National Honor Society while in high school and served as a Candy Striper.
She loved cats, reading her bible, scrabble and traveling.
Family members include her son, Michael Chalmers and wife Dianne of Simpsonville, SC; two daughters, Debby Grover and her husband Rick of Duncan SC and Ruth Chase and her husband Sid of Concord NH.
She was lovingly known as Grammy to her grandchildren, Shannon Aviles, Nina Crucitti, Kyle Chalmers, Kristy Gallegos, Randy Chalmers, Heather Perry and Ian Chase. Her great grandchildren, Naomi, Bryton, Nathaniel, Greyson, Jovienne, Mason and Maverik call her Gigi.
A visiting hour at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, will be Friday, July 23rd from 11 am to noon, followed by a brief memorial service at noon in the funeral home chapel.
