Charles E. Chretien, 73, of Manchester, died July 6, 2005, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, August 30, 1931, he was the son of Judge Alfred J. and Lucienne (Sylvain) Chretien. He was a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA and Georgetown School of Law in Washington, D.C. He served 3 years as a legal officer in the US Army.
He practiced law in Manchester for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Marie Church.
Family members include his wife of 23 years, Faye M. (Dufour) Chretien of Hooksett;. a son, C.J. Chretien of Fayville, MA two sisters, Marguerite Musser of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Madeleine DeBeauvais of San Palto, CA;
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday July 11, 2005 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Urn burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
