Charles (Chuck) Vance Terry, 78, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully June 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Mason City, Iowa, on May 5, 1947, to Charles H. Terry and Elsie Vasicek. He graduated from high school before enlisting in the Army (Specialist E5) and serving in the Vietnam War. Before leaving for Vietnam, he attended a dance outside of his military base in Massachusetts, where he met his beautiful wife of 57 years, Geraldine G. Terry (Buchanan), and asked her to wait for him so that they could be married when he returned. She indeed waited, and by the grace of God, he returned. Together they had three children, Lisa Marie Terry Booker, Charles F. Terry, and Laurie L. Perkins (Terry) with which they enjoyed building strong family values and traditions for the past 54 years.
Charles began his working years as a truck driver before obtaining his wastewater operator’s license, serving as a Senior Project Manager and Wastewater Operator throughout New England and Florida for 40 years, before retiring in 2012. In his spare time, Charles loved camping, fishing, golfing, watching NFL football, shopping corvettes, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Geraldine G. Terry of 57 years, three children, two son-in laws (Joseph S. Troisi, Jr. and Matthew A. Perkins), six grandchildren (Nathan Booker, Connor Terry, Cameron Terry, Rosalie Terry, William Perkins, and Grace Perkins), along with many special in-laws (siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins) that became his family.
Charles was predeceased by his parents (Charles & Elsie), mother-in-law Antoinette (and Frank) Pappalardo and father-in-law Eugene Buchanan.
