Chris R. Schuitema

December 9, 1961 — March 31, 2017

Chris R. Schuitema, 55, of Manchester, passed away Friday, March 31st at CMC Hospital.
He was born in Manchester December 9, 1961 to the late Joe and Mary (McIntyre) Schuitema.
He lived in Manchester most of his life with short periods of time in San Jose, Ca. and Central Point, Or. He resided in Hooksett, NH for the past 3 years with Alka and Binod Swar.
Chris' final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. He was a gentle soul and a prankster who brought smiles to many. He loved sports and won many medals in Special Olympics. His two greatest passions were bowling and photography. He enjoyed playing games, music, playing his guitar and dancing with Lesa. He worked in a number of jobs through the Moore Center and enjoyed socially fun day programs over the years. He missed his friends very much when he was no longer able to participate.
Chris is survived by his sister, Dorothy Curtis and her children; niece Beth Levasseur; and nephew Michael Levasseur, whom he grew up with. He is also survived by six more nieces, Roxanne Couture, Tracy Sweet, April Pieroni, Stephanie Sweet, Dawn Genis & Bethany Coomes; and two more nephews, Tony Pieroni III, and Tony Sweet. In addition to his parents, Chris was predeceased by his brother-in-law Fred Curtis whom he called "Dad" for 24 years. They spent many days on the road taking pictures and just enjoying time together. He was also predeceased by his brother, Tony Pieroni Jr.; and his sister, Nancy Sweet, both of Oregon.
Services: A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Brookside Congregational Church in the Chapel of the Manning House.
