Christina B. (Young) Godbout 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Pinnacle Health and Rehab at North Berwick, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Manchester on April 30, 1945 and was the daughter to the late William B. and Christina (Beauregarde) Young. Christina was raised and educated in Manchester and was part of the first graduating class from Memorial High School. She later met her husband and became a loving and devoted homemaker to her two daughters.

Christina loved spending time at the beach and shopping, creating lasting memories with those she loved throughout the years along the shore. She and her husband had a beautiful home on North Hampton Beach and for many years wintered in Ellenton, Florida to escape the snow.  While in Florida she had fun participating in local plays within the community. She also was a creative crafter, dabbling in all kinds of crafts, painting and sewing being her favorites. Above all, spending time with family was most important.

Christina is lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Godbout of Kittery, ME; daughters, Stacey Tarantino of Berwick, ME and her step-son, Lucas Niles of Winter Haven, FL and Gina Godbout of Hampton, NH; brother, William “Billy” Young of Auburn, NH; sister-in-law, Theresa Blomquist of Manchester; nephews, William Young and his wife, Leah, of Alton, ME and Scott Blomquist and his wife, Fern of Manchester; nieces, Robin Ryan who was her goddaughter and her husband, Mike of Massachusetts and Audrie Blomquist  of North Carolina; great-niece Mackenzie Young and her fiancé, Ethan Ellis- Johnson of Alton, ME and great-nephew, Caleb Young of Norfolk, VA and several other nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Terrance Young and her brother-in-law, Maurice Godbout and his wife, Marion.

A graveside service will be held on Friday (8/11) at 1200pm at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald Street, Bedford, NH. For those who wish, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverley Oaks Road Suite 301 Waltham, MA 02452.
