Christos Papazoglou, 66, of Hooksett, NH died September 26, 2006 at the Concord Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester on February 3, 1940, the son of Gregory and Agorou (Letos) Papazoglou. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Keene State College. He served in the US Army, having been stationed in Germany.
Prior to retiring 13 years ago, he had been employed as a supervisor in the juvenile parole office of the Youth Development Center for 25 years.
Mr. Papazoglou loved playing golf, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family at the beach.
Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Eleanor (Sawtelle) Papazoglou of Hooksett; one daughter, Alethea Papazoglou of Newport, RI; one sister, Aphrodite Papazoglou of Bedford; He was predeceased by his brother, Pascal Papazoglou in 1991.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, are Thursday from 4 to 8pm, with the Trisagion service to be held at 6:30pm. The funeral service will be held in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St, on Friday at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
