Christos Papazoglou

Christos "Pappy" Papazoglou, 66, of Hooksett, NH died September 26, 2006 at the Concord Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Manchester on February 3, 1940, the son of Gregory and Agorou (Letos) Papazoglou. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Keene State College. He served in the US Army, having been stationed in Germany.

Prior to retiring 13 years ago, he had been employed as a supervisor in the juvenile parole office of the Youth Development Center for 25 years.

Mr. Papazoglou loved playing golf, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family at the beach.

Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Eleanor (Sawtelle) Papazoglou of Hooksett; one daughter, Alethea Papazoglou of Newport, RI; one sister, Aphrodite Papazoglou of Bedford; He was predeceased by his brother, Pascal Papazoglou in 1991.

The funeral service was held in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St, on Friday September 29, 2006. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
