Sr. Claire Caron,(Cecile-Marguerite) 65, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester died February 23, 2004 at the Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on February 16, 1939, in Hampstead NY, she was the daughter of Armand and Cecile (Durette) Caron. She entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1959, made her first Profession in 1961 and her final Profession in 1966.
Sr. Claire worked in food services in several large houses from 1961 to1967. She worked as a dietician at St. Marie and St. Joseph residence from 1967 to 1990. From 1990 to 1996 she was the director of food services for the entire compound of the Sisters of the Presentation on Mammoth Rd. In 1996 to the present Sister Claire was Local Superior of the Sisters of St. Joseph. She will be remembered for her dedication, gentleness and compassion, for the sisters in her community as well as all with whom she was able to serve.
Family members include; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Guilbreault; a niece, Elaine Anderson; 3 nephews; Michael, Marc, and John Caron; one grand-niece and grand nephew; one Aunt, and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday February 28, 2004 in the Resurrection Chapel.
Burial was in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson NH.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
