Claire (Cartier) Audet, 82, of Manchester, died November 15, 2017, at Merrimack Community Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on October 13, 1935, she was the daughter of Arthur and Dorilla (Heroux) Cartier. Claire worked for the telephone company until she became a bookkeeper for her father at Cartier Electric Inc. Prior to retirement, she enjoyed working for Boisvert Electric and loved her new family there.
Claire was an active member of St. Anthony Parish, serving as Eucharist Minister, and joyfully singing in the choir. She was also a lifetime member, and past president of the St. Anne Sodality, as well as past president of the local Catholic War Veterans. Claire was loved by all who met her. She will be remembered for her generous, loving, and cheerful nature.
The family includes her loving husband of 57 years, Renald E. Audet of Manchester; their four children, Theresa Rheaume of NH, Ronald Audet of DE, David Audet of NH, and William Audet of FL; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Rudolph Cartier, Sr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also predeceased by four siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester.
