Claire J. Lamontagne

Claire J.(Chaput) Lamontagne, 78, of Manchester, died November 8, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center, after a long illness.

She was born in Manchester, November 23, 1927, and was the daughter of Joseph and Aurelia(Beaudet) Chaput. She had been a member of St. Anthony Parish.

Claire had worked for many years in food services at the Sheraton Wayfarer, and Catholic Medical Center. She was active in the social planning of activities of the Benoit Apartments. She will be remembered as being a good cook, a devoted mother, and loving wife.

She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Ernest A. Lamontagne in 2000, and her siblings, Octavie Rivard, Rosaire Chaput, Lina Bergeron, Olivette St. Hilaire.

Family members include; her daughter, Denise Lee, of Mansfield, MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; 2 sisters, Simone Beliveau, Monique Chamberlain, both of Manchester; 3 brothers, Maurice Chaput, Sylvio Chaput, both of Manchester, Raymond Chaput, of VA.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday November 11, 2006 in St. Anthony Church, Belmont St. Manchester.

A committal service was held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery mausoleum.
